I'll be visiting Rome from April 26-29. I tried making reservations for the Borghese Gallery last week but they were all sold out! Is there any other way to get into the gallery? I will be purchasing the Roma Card.
Thanks!
Lynne
I think the only other way is just showing up and hope that someone with a reservation did not. People with reservations are asked to check in by a certain time.
Roma Card holders also need reservations (made by phone, rather than online, for this site). The Roma Card only fully covers your first two or three attractions visited, in chronological order, so if you end up using it for something other than the Borghese Gallery, then your price comparison may work out differently.
You might try this tour. The company has a good reputation. It will cost but you get a guide and you get into the gallery. There may be other similar tours. I don't know of any other way to do it if they're sold out of individual tickets.
EDIT -- Of course Laura is right, you might luck into a cancellation. But that seems like a long shot, you could end up spending a long time at the gallery entrance waiting for one. The Borghese is in a beautiful park and the Etruscan Museum is nearby, but otherwise it's pretty far from most other sights.

Probably worth mention, as it's a recent change you may have missed, that you need to make timed-entry reservations for the Colosseum with the Roma Pass as well. Read "For which museums it is necessary to make a reservation?" on the FAQ page of the Roma Pass site.

Hey Lynne,
The Borghese Gallery sells out in advance; especially since Easter comes in April 21st this year. Peeps may still be in Rome on holiday. Or, keep trying. Maybe someone canceled or transaction was not approved. http://galleriaborghese.beniculturali.it/it/pianifica-la-visita/info-e-orari
Or, try https://www.walksofitaly.com/rome-tours/villa-borghese-gallery-tour/ It is a little pricey, but, if you really want to go, you'll have the benefits of a professional along with their know how to get in and around the Gallery. So far, they are showing two available dates: April 26 and April 28.
If you have a few days in Rome, can you use your Roma Card for other museums or sites?
added thought: Lynne maybe look into Dark Rome https://darkrome.com/rome-tours?attractions[0]=borghese-gallery
Kathy,
Thank you!! I did not notice this fact, and would have been in trouble if you hadn't made me aware of the need for timed entry at the Coliseum! I was able to go on line and reserve spots for us for our desired date. Thanks so much!
