How far in advance is recommended to call from the US for ticket reservations to the Borghese Gallery using the Roma Pass. This will be close to Easter.

Do it NOW. The Borghese is a popular attraction and reservations can fill far in advance, especially if you're trying to visit near or over a holiday period.

Regardless of how you are paying reserve asap. You will pick up the tickets on arrival with the Roma pass -- be sure to arrive at least half an hour before your slot as any purses and bags must be checked and there is a line to pick up the tickets. You get two hours; they clear out the group before you before your group enters. So if you are late to get your tickets and check your bags it comes out of your two hour time period.
