Borghese Gallery Website Unresponsive !?!

Has anyone been able to get the official Borghese Website to come up? I’m trying to reserve tickets, but can’t even get the page to begin the process. Maybe it’s just me, or my devices, or bad Internet signal. If any of the above, it’s been that way for 2 days now. Or is it possibly the Website?

Has anyone gotten tickets recently? I’m planning on a date mid-September through early October, if I can get access to the ticket site.

Cyn , I recall on the occasions that I purchased tickets, there was roughly a 90 day window for advance tickets . As best as I can tell , on my tablet right now , tickets are on sale up to the end of July . I'll take another look in the morning on my desktop . There is also a truly spectacular video about Bernini , his sculptures , and his architectural work in Rome , I'll send you the link tomorrow as well .

Eric and steven, thank you, both! So it’s not just me, then, and also too early, even if it was.

The Bernini video sounds tremendous.

Having checked the ticket site last night , sales only go through the end of July . so give this a bit of time . This video about Bernini by the historian Simon Schama , is an absolute must ! It will enhance your visit to the gallery , and indeed , to Rome itself , immeasurably . This is in four 15 minute sections , one will segue to the next . If it starts in the middle , be sure to back it up to the start . Like any good film , the sequential continuity it important . Also , the St. Teresa ensemble is well worth seeing in person in Santa Maria Della Vittoria . Thank you, everybody, for your helpful input. I’ll keep monitoring the TOSC site for September openings. Mabe that’ll be on the first of July, maybe a random date when September’s first available. As for the official Website, their IT people must have some kinks to work out.

Steven, I’ve started the first few minutes of the Part 1 video. The series will definitely be something my husband and I will be watching very soon, thank you. On our Rome trip last fall, at the end of seeing the Catacombs of Saint Sebastian, the church at that location has Bernini’s last sculpture, “Il Salvator Mundi" - a bust of Jesus with flowing robe around his upper torso. At 81 years old, Bernini was still producing a work in marble that seemed to be in motion, and that was an unexpected addition to the Catacombs visit.

It’s been nearly 10 years since my last time at the Borghese Gallery. Last fall, I couldn’t get tickets, and there was also a Damien Hirst temporary exhibit there, as well. I wonder, did people get a 2-hour limit to see whatever of the temporary and permanent exhibits they could manage, or was the Hirst show a separate time allowance? Anyway, we’ll make 2022 work, this fall.

I’ve also been unable to get to the Villa Borghese website for the past few days. Ditto the official site for the colosseum. Like you, we’re traveling in September and I have tried to check the sites weekly in case they extend the booking window.
