Borghese Gallery Ticket Question

I purchased tickets for the Borghese Gallery and have downloaded them to my phone. My question is whether I can get in with the ticket PDFs on my phone or if I need to print a physical ticket? Does anyone know?

I think I used a printed ticket, but I imagine the phone version would work as well. I always print a copy because there can be surprise issues that might cause the phone not to work. I like the redundancy of having a paper ticket at hand as well.

I went to the Borghese in October. I recommend printing it. My pdf ticket states under “Instructions and use…” : The ticket is only valid as a DIN A4 printout, and even gives instructions on folding it.

When I went earlier this month I printed the tickets and folded them the way it instructed me to, but when I actually went they just scanned the QR code on my phone. Whether the instructions on the ticket is outdated or it depends on the person checking tickets, I don't know. Wouldn't hurt to have it printed and stashed in your bag or pocket though, just in case.

I visited in October and just showed the download on my phone. I had it on the Tiquets app as well.

Make sure you know that they have a strict rule on the size of purse you can carry in. They will allow a bag or fanny pack that is maximum 21cmx15cm or 8-ish by 6-ish. I wore the small purse I wear on the plane which is about 7X5 and no one batted an eye. Otherwise you have to check it. As you get to the turnstile there is a sizer for your bag but I didn't see one earlier. I knew there was a bag limit so when I showed my ticket I held my purse up and asked OK? and the person said it was fine.

I was just there last week! I printed our tickets, but in the rush to put my purse in the mandatory bag check area, I forgot to take them out. Luckily, I had taken a photo of them in case I lost them. They scanned the code off my phone pictures with no trouble. Don't do what I did and forget to fully zip up your bag when you put it into the holder at the bag storage area. I did that and when the attendant gave it back to me, I didn't check to make sure everything was in it. My small "bag of useful things" had fallen out. Drat.
