Borghese Gallery - Roma Pass vs reserving tickets on-line

Hello all,
My wife and I will be traveling to Rome this summer and we have a question about the Roma pass and advance tickets to the Borghese Gallery.

Admission is limited and only in 2 hour blocks. We were looking at visiting it Wednesday July 2 for the 5:00-7:00 block.
You can reserve tickets online but there is a $17 reservation fee
Or if you get them at the door, they are only like $4
The gallery accepts the Roma pass but we couldn't tell if you still needed to buy them in advance, or reserve them or what to do.

$34 vs $8 is a significant difference
We just didn't want to miss out on this gallery.

We do plan on using the Roma Pass for some of the other sites and for public transportation

Any advice?
thanks

The 4-euro reservation fee to go with the Roma Pass can only booked by phone (011-39-06-32810, press 2 for English) or in person. When I look at the online booking system I see full-price tickets for 11 euros per person, including reservation, plus a 4 euro service fee, adding up to 36 euros for two people.

Only the first two attractions you visit are covered in full by the Roma Pass. All the others only give a small discount. If you want to get it as one of the covered ones, make sure that it is one of the first two places that you swipe your pass.

Many people use the Borghese Gallery and the ancient ruins as their 2 covered places - they are the most expensive.
