We will be visiting Rome the 2nd week in Sept. We plan on visiting the Vatican on Tue and the Borghese Gallery on Thu or Fri(Flexible). Should I go ahead and get reservations now or will it be okay to make resrevations on Tue the day we visit the Vatican?
now. as u will not be traveling to another city, where things might change, scheduals could change, and staying in rome, you can easily accomodate the pre-arranged reservation. both V. and B.are relatively close, and risking being too late to reserve isn't worth it.
General advice is to make reservations at least a week in advance in the busier season, of which I could consider early September to be a part of. I would pre-book the reservations before reaching Rome, but I can't recall if you can book it more than three months in advance, so you may have to wait a bit. If you are staying in a hotel, ask your hotel to call and make the reservation for you and email the confirmation number to you.
Thank you for your comments. I have contacted my hotel and they are assisting with getting our reservation.
