Borghese Gallery part of RS Tour?

We're leaving for 9 Days in Italy tour next Sat. Anyone know if Borghese Gallery is part of that tour? If not, I want to try to get us reservations.
Thanks, Sandy

The tour description on the website doesn't list it as part of the tour. Easily verified if you call ETBD office. I would not miss visiting the Borghese if at all possible. You should try to make reservations on line as soon as possible. Day 2 of your tour shows a free afternoon. By the way, next Sunday is the 27th not the 26th.

Thanks Philip.
Unfortunately, Day 2 is a Monday when the gallery is closed.
I'm cking w/my travel partner to see if she's game for us to go the evening of our arrival from the US (Sat. day before tour begins). Otherwise the next oppty will be Tues. evening 10/6.
I'm not familiar w/the ETBD.

Sandy,
ETBD stood for Europe Through the Back Door. It was the former name of what is now Rick Steves' Europe. Just call the Rick Steves Office and they can tell you for sure if it is include.

I have the 2014 version ETBD but see no reference to Borghese Gallery let alone Rome
I'll call them Mon. I think they're closed on Sundays
Thanks again

As mentioned above, it's not on the printed itinerary and it indeed was not part of the tour when I did it in 2013. Also Be very careful about the day you make your reservation as on Tuesday you leave for Volterra after spending the morning at the Colosseum/Forum.

I don't know if the Borghese is open Sunday morning or not but that would be a good time to go. Check to see what time your meet-up is....5pm maybe? So you have much of the day available on Day 1.

The last entry for the Galleria Borghese will be 5pm. You need to be there a half hour early, voucher or reservation confirmation in hand.

Thank you all
I'm assuming Borghese isn't part of RS tour in 2015
Only dates w/tkts still available are Sat fr 1700-1900 (day we arrive which happens to be day before tour begins) and about 10 days later when we will be in Rome in late afternoon and overPM.
Thanks to all encouraging us to include this, I reserved 2 tkts for the Sat eve we arrive. So what if we're a little jet lagged. We'll throw ourselves into the experience pronto!
And the confirm said we must be there hour in advance to pick up tkts w/email confirms in hand. Seems like it will work
Thanks again

Have a wonderful time! This was myfirst RS tour and my first time in Italy and I loved both. Volterra is still one of my favorite places.

Congrats on getting that sorted out.

I tend to think of the Galleria Borghese as a place with two halves. There is the unique sculpture which is some of the very best in the world on the ground floor. And there is everything else, which while all are unique pieces, I can find some similar in other art museums and churches in Italy and other European major cities, and even places such as the Getty, MFA Boston, Dallas MA, Kimbell, etc.

I focus on what I want to see and I start to glaze over towards the end of my 2 hours I will have skipped things less important to me.
