I just called to make reservations at the Borghese Gallery for Oct. 4th. I discovered that it was the first Sunday of the month and it was free. I was able to make reservations, but I wonder if anyone knows if they take more reservations on the first Sunday and it will be exceptionally crowded or not.

Should be the same since the hourly attendance is controlled by the reservations. However, any place without reservations will be jammed with locals.

The number of visitors for each two-hour appointment time will not be increased, but be sure to get there early enough to claim your reservation or it will be given away.
