Borghese Gallery on Free First Sunday in October 2022

I am looking into purchasing tickets to visit the Borghese Gallery. I know that the first Friday in October is a free day for the gallery, however advance registration is still required. So, my question is, even though this a free day, would the crowds be any bigger than on a non-free day since advanced registration is still required?

Thanks

I see no reason why the Borghese would admit more people for free than they admit for money. But your chances of snagging a ticket for free that people will pay Imperialist tour companies over-face-value for, and frequently fail to get at all, are rather slim.

They only have a set number of reservations regardless of a regular or free day so no, it won't be any busier other than the reservations being snapped up very quickly.
