We're planning to go to the Borghese Gallery using the Roma Pass. I see that you can buy your entry ticket & reserve your date/time on line. But, if you want to use the Roma pass for your entry ticket, it appears the only way to make a reservation is to call them. Does anyone know if there is a way to book the resevation only seperate from an entry ticket?
Yes, you call them to let them know you're using the romapass. They will just book the reservation for you and not charge you the entry fee. It's very fast and easy. +390632810. Donna
I had the front desk at the hotel call the gallery and make the reservation for me. Then when I arrived at the ticket desk - I just showed my Roma Pass.
It is a wonderful gallery - I'm sure you will enjoy it.
Sorry to tag on, but want to make reservations for 4 of us in May. Do we have to have our Roma Passes before we make the reservations? TH
How early can you reserve your tickets?
No, Thomas, you don't. Just call to make the reservations, telling them that you plan to get a Roma Pass. That's what I did. As it turned out though, there weren't any Passes available anywhere we checked! That wasn't a problem either except that we had to pay for the ticket and the reservation at the Borghese. Be sure to get there on time (or early) so you don't miss your entry time!
Last year there were a few times at the end of the summer when the passes were unavailable. That hasn't happened in months so you should have no problems getting a romapass. Just tell the person on the phone that you'll have one and need to make a reservation. You must get to the gallery at least a half hour before your entry time. At the half hour point they start selling unclaimed reservations to the "stand-bys". Also, you must check all of your bags and the line gets really long right before the gallery opens. Donna
Right now they are booking for the beginning of April. They only go about 5-6 weeks out so just keep checking the website. Donna
I will try calling. Thanks for the info!
