No need to have your tickets shipped: choose to collect them at the gallery the day of your visit. They'll send you a confirmation to print out and bring with you to collect them.

Editing to add: the Borghese is a wonderful museum and so blessedly free of the mob that overruns the Vatican! The interior decoration of the building itself is just fascinating. Do allow some time for a stroll in the park (Villa Borghese) after your visit? It's another great opportunity for some breathing room from busy (but very interesting!) Rome attractions. I'm pleased to see you choosing this one!

We've ordered tickets to pick up, with a receipt to print at home. It is cautioned to arrive at least 20 minutes before your reservation to collect the tickets. If you're late, they may resell the tickets.

Spend a few extra euros and enjoy the gallery even more with a guide. Our guide was an Art History graduate, very knowledgable and charming!

I ordered a ticket for the Borghese yesterday from the USA using the named website. It was fairly straightforward, but my B of A credit card didn't work. Some banks require prior notification even for this sort of transaction since the sale occurs in another country. Anyway, I had another credit card that worked easily. I will pick up my ticket at the box office. The total charge was 17 Euro.
I got a ticket for the day I wanted, but not the desired time. I recommend making that reservation more than a week or so in advance if you want to be sure of getting the entry time you want. And take a printout of the reservation with reference number.
In 2010 I visited the Borghese. When I picked up my ticket half an hour before the indicated time I was let in to the gallery right away. So, I had more than 2 hours there if I wanted it.
I plan to take a bus from Termini to get to the Borghese. The easiest way for me would be to take a taxi up and maybe walk back down to my hotel. I'll see how my legs feel. The gallery is located within a beautiful, green park which is worth a leisurely visit.

Just pick them up at the gallery. No need to have them shipped. Be there "at least" 30 minutes prior to your start time. They give away unclaimed reservations at the 30 minute point so if you're late you may not get your tickets.

Be aware that you cannot carry anything into the gallery with you. They make you check everything so give yourself extra time for that as well.

I just ordered tickets for our visit in early July. There were tickets available on the free Sunday and we will pick them up there. I could not get our BoA credit cards to work so I used the PayPal option. Just wanted to share in case anyone else is having trouble with their credit card.

I just ordered ours for a couple weeks from now. I'm planning to pick them up, we have the 9:00 spot, does anyone know how early people get there for the first opening? Also-my chase visa didn't work but another card did.

We were there one week ago and were among the first (at 8:15). Everybody else showed up within a few minutes. Beautiful place!

I was there in February. They only required large bags to be checked. A lot women with small/medium bags were allowed in.
