Borghese Gallery - closed on Sunday June 2? Oh no!

I am crestfallen -- and hope I've misread the ticket site for the Borghese Gallery.

We're only in Rome for two full days -- June 2 and June 3. I was excited beyond words for our kids to tour the gallery to savor Bernini's astounding works.

But as I read the ticket site, it appears that June 2 is the ONLY Sunday in June on which the gallery isn't open. And, as expected, it's closed on Monday... Oh, the humanity!!!

Someone, please tell me I've misread the ticket site -- or tell me there is another way to get in on Sunday, June 2!!

June 2 is the first (free) Sunday of the month.

Call to make a telephone reservation asap. They do not accept online reservations for a free Sunday. A little reminder: Don't forget about the time difference from where you reside.

I don't know when they open up phones for the free reservations. And, I don't know if it's too early for that since it's February. Better to try now and keep trying. Although, It does look like days/tickets are open and available for purchase the rest of the month.

Keep in mind, that it will be extremely crowded.
