Probably silly questions
But do the "in" and "out" reservations time allow only 2 hours to visit museum according to this web site? And how far in advance do you need to book. We are in Rome 22-27 September
Any particular time to see it as well?
Also someone explain like an example Seat 169, Seat 170. Is that your place in line or is there seating? Confused. :/
Yes, the two hour limit is for real. Was last there in late October 2016. You can have a nice visit in two hours. Book right away to be on the safe side, you don't want to miss this museum. Also I think you are supposed to check in half an hour before your allotted time.
Book now It was great!
We were there in mid-June. They do hold you to the two hours. When you book, I would recommend that you take the docent led tour. Our guide was outstanding and we learned so much about the history of the gallery and the art.
Enjoy,
Sandy
Yes, each group only gets 2 hours. But, precisely because they strictly limit how many people can come in at each time, and make each group leave before letting in the next group, there is no "best time to see it" - all the times are good!
Do get there about a half hour before your reserved time; at a certain point, they start reselling the tickets of "no shows," so if you're not there to claim your spot, they'll sell it to someone else. You also want to have checked your bags, used the bathroom, signed up for a tour or picked up your audioguide, etc - all before your two hour slot starts, so you can use it to the fullest.
Book as soon as you are sure of your plans, and remember that the Gallery is in the middle of a park, so it takes some time to get to the front door. Rick's Italy and Rome books have details of getting there, how to visit, etc.
Okay Everyone,
Now I'm really confused. Went to buy tickets. What is this about "Seat 169, Seat 170?
Don't you walk around?
And am I using the correct web site that I posted originally?
Thanks everyone!

Yes, you're using the right website. If you haven't figured it out yet, you can change the language to English in the menu box under "Selezione lingua" on the right side of the page. And yes, your visit is limited to the length of the two-hour slot you choose. They clear the museums completely between one slot and the next to keep the crowd size (blessedly) manageable. As already noted, be there at least 30 minutes before your time slot to pick up your tickets, check items which are not allowed inside, and use the restroom.

Just ignore the seating booking/chart stuff. The website manages ticketing for a host of attractions/events, some of which may involve seating. That function only applies to those sorts of things.
I have reservations for this coming Tuesday . Don't be confused - " Posto " in Italian means " place ", often translates to " seat " , as on a train or a performance seat as in an opera house . In this case it denotes the number on your reservation in those available for sale when you make the purchase
