Borghese Gallery and Roma Pass

My husband and I would like to visit the Borghese Gallery using the Roma Pass. I've looked at the ticketeria website and it asks for credit card details. Is there a way to pre-book and use the Roma pass? Thanks for your help

Yes, you have to telephone - or better yet, get your hotel/apt vendor to call for you,. The number is +39 (06) 32810 .

After connecting, push "2" for instructions in English, then "1" to make a reservation... and an English speaking operator will come on. You tell them your time & date requested, number of guests, your name, and they will give you a reservation code that YOU MUST bring with you. You'll be instructed to get to the Museum 30 minutes prior to your scheduled time. With this "reservation code" no money changes hands and no credit card info is required. You will need to show your Roma Pass upon arrival.

Slots are in 2-hour increments, starting at 9 AM and last entry at 5 PM. The Galleria (and ticket office) is closed on Mondays! Also be prepared to check any large bags, backpacks, or purses. For more info on the Borghese, CLICK HERE

Ciao,
Ron

In addition to Ron's list, you must also check your camera.

I just got back from Italy and was also at the Borghese Gallery using the Roma Pass. I had my hotel make my reservation for me. I read that there is a "compulsory reservation fee" of 2 or 3 euros, but we did not have to pay anything. The guy looked at us like we were nuts when we tried to pay him the "compulsory fee". :)
Check-in is downstairs; once you check in and get your ticket, check your bags downstairs (in another line), then go back outside and wait upstairs on the "porch" and stairs. There are no signs telling you this; we just had to figure it out. Some of the most memorable statues we saw in our 15 days in Italy were in the Borghese: Pluto and Persephone, Apollo and Daphne, and David. Simply extraordinary and exquisite (and I'm not an art fan!)!

We visited the gallery 2 weeks ago and loved it. As the above posters have noted it is easy to make reservations (when we called we were not required to give any credit card info. but we were given a confirmation number). Borghese was our first stop so we bought our Roma Pass at the ticket window, but beware- we received our credit card statement yesterday and we were wrongly charged admission fees plus the price of the Roma Pass (I know we should have been paying better attention- chalk it up to jet lag). We are going to try and contact the gallery tomorrow to see if we can get any money back. Have a great trip.

Get good directions. Once off the metro we popped up in the middle of God knows where and spent a good amount of time consulting fellow lost souls and Roman joggers before wending our way to the Gallery. We were a small but determined group by the time we got there :-)
