Borghese Gallery?

Hi all! Will be in Rome for half the day on Sunday, November 2nd, 2025, and all day Monday, November 3rd.

We have all the big sites booked for the 3rd, but I was hoping to see the Borghese Gallery on Sunday afternoon, as it is closed on Monday. Odd thing is, when trying to book, the website says: 'tickets available soon'. Not 'not available' as they say on other days. I'll attach a screenshot if I can. I'm not sure what that means. Has anyone else experienced this and have any suggestions? Thanks so much!

Tickets for Free Sunday become available 10 days in advance at 1pm Rome time…figure out what time that is in your time zone and go online then. The tickets are free but there is still a small reservation fee. Guided tours in English are also available on Free Sundays.

I was just looking at tickets and am seeing a price of around $115 per ticket. Is this correct or am I on a third party website (I don't think I am butcwant to make sure)?

Ah...thanks! I know that price was too high; just couldn't find the official site!

I loved visiting the Borghese gallery with my family earlier this year. I recommend going with a guide as there's so much to see and a lot of history. We felt we got a lot more out of it by going with a guide. It's also nice because they take care of getting your tickets so even if they are sold out on your date, the companies have group tickets. We recommend The Tour Guy / The Roman Guy https://thetourguy.com/ as we did a small group tour and loved it. They also offer private tours but the group was small enough for us.

I just bought tickets for November 5. Museum tickets are €15. Then add a €2 reservation fee per ticket. And a €4 service charge. So two tickets cost me €38.
It appears there are a few third party resale websites. One wanted €50 for a ticket. It appeared to be an official site. I knew that was an inflated ticket price. The link above was helpful.

The Borghese website sent me to Ticket One and tosc.it for the purchase.
I didn’t want to risk not getting a free ticket on the first Sunday in November.
