I just went online to buy our tickets for the Borghese Gallery for June 8th. I just went onto the Borghese Gallery ticket site which comes up as Ticket One. To book the tickets with them it was a total of 29 Euros for 2 tickets including the service fee. I then looked at the site that Rick says to use www.ticketeria.it. They were charging 8.50 euro per ticket, plus a 7.90 per ticket online service Euro per ticket and a 7.80 booking Euro per ticket. (All their wording). For a total of 48.40 Euros. I don't understand the huge difference in price. In both cases I'd pick up the actual ticket at the venue office. Has anyone else seen this big difference in price for the Borghese Gallery and/or am I doing something wrong? I haven't booked the tickets yet as I cannot believe that the prices are that disparate for the same thing. Susan
On the ticketone site you can change the delivery option to pick up at site and pay the 1.50 service fee for doing so bringing the cost of each tickets to 16.50 euros. That's 13.00 for the ticket, 2.00 for the pre-sale fee and 1.50 euros for the service fee. That's for each ticket. There must be an exhibition going on while you're in Rome. I can't explain the cost of the ticketeria. When I try to go to that site it takes me to the tosc site for booking the borghese which is the official site. Donna
I just typed www.ticketeria.it, was redirected to the tosc site, and got 2 tickets for 29€ total on June 8. Maybe you just got something flukey...
