My daughter and husband had their second vaccine shot on 10/15/21. We will be in Italy 4/1/22>4/8/22 coming from USA they are still within the 6 month timeframe. I could book a booster for my daughter 3/14/22 just 2 weeks before we leave. My husband is currently not wanting to get a booster until 6 months. If you were me would you do the booster that close to leaving or just let it be? I worry about my daughters reaction to it and any issues. I’ve heard it’s a myth but I also worry she could test positive after the booster and we could possibly not be able to go. My son and I did our vaccinations earlier and got the booster shot last month. I also worry if 3 of us are boostered and my husband is not could we face issues while in Italy? Again any info or thoughts are appreciated.
If the second dose is less than 6 months you should not have a problem in Italy. The rule is six months. The booster currently doesn't expire although I read yesterday for the "compromised" they are recommending a 4th dose. They check the dates and your husband and daughter are good until 4/15/22 and you are only planning to stay until the 8th.
