I read on the trenitalia website that children travel free. We will have two children with us (3 and infant). It is too early to book our tickets but when I put in fake dates to get an idea of price, it charges 12E for the children. I am thinking this may be for a seat reservation (Milan to Bologna). So I have a few questions:
- If the infant will be in our lap, do we need to get a ticket at all? (So don't even list them when we put the number of children and adults)
- Can you confirm that the 12E price is correct for a child if they will have their own seat.
Any other advice about booking tickets with children/infants?
