My Family of 4 is traveling to Florence in early October. We've been looking on the main goverment page (b-ticket) to find tickets to these places for months now and there's no listings, and there never have been. They still have listings for september for the accademia, but nothing for october. Have any of you had trouble booking with them, and do you have any recommendations on how to go about booking these tickets, especially the Uffizi? Thanks!
Hi Ryan - We (my family of 4) booked Uffizi on b.ticket and Accademia thru our hotel (no extra charge.) I just emailed the hotel the day/time that we wanted and they made the reservation for us (they emailed back a reservation confirmation number). No problem. Have fun - Florence is great! So much gelato!
Phone them, during working hours in Italy. That should work, if your hotel can't help you. There are many more time slots available than appear online.
But do try your hotel first. Sometimes it seems that they get no-fee reservations. At 4 euros per ticket, that would be a considerable savings for your family.
Last year, I had no trouble getting reservations by phone about 3-4 weeks in advance.
Hi Ryan,
We also asked our hotel to book our reservations and they were happy to do so. We received booking/reservation numbers which we will of course bring with us on the days we visit in late September.
