If I want to book tours in Venice, Florence and Rome, does the tour provide recommendations or should I just arrange on my own?

Depending on the things within those cities that you want to tour, you're going to want to make your reservations/buy tickets for some of them well before you get there. Suggestions for best sources can be provided, here on the forums, by travelers who've used them if you provide a list.
