Booking Flight on Condor at amazing price--should I?

My wife and I are tentatively planning a trip to Italy and Provence this fall. I saw a flight today for our return trip from Marseille to Redmond/Bend in mid-October on Condor Air for $780 including premium economy and flex booking which allows me to reschedule for free and totally cancel up to one month before departure for $100. This is less than half as much as any other flight I've researched without the flex scheduling. I'd be booking a flight 7 1/2 months ahead but it's really hard to see how we can go wrong. So, 1) I'd be interested in hearing what experiences others have had on Condor and 2) should I wait a little longer and see what is being offered around six months before the flight?

That sounds like a good price, except I think that's each way, not a round trip price.

I really like Condor out of Seattle. Their Premium Economy is a pretty good deal and it makes for a comfortable enough flight. I'd have no qualms about booking with them. The earlier you buy with them, the better the prices. I'm about to buy nonstop from Seattle to Frankfurt with them for January. That far out, Prem Econ is $550 each way.

Premium Economy might be fine. Regular Economy has very tight seating and I would not recommend it for a transatlantic flight for anybody who is taller than average (unless the price is of utmost importance). Food isn't great either but I can live with that.

I've taken two Condor Flights, both from Anchorage direct to Frankfurt (10 hours) and have another one booked in May.

The first time I used them they were recommended to me by a relative who has been living in Switzerland for the last 40 years and travels to the US every other year to visit family. I have been very impressed Condor.

They are running new aircraft (at least the ones I've been on) with all the bells & whistles and are very well staffed. I have had both of the standard meals and the premium meals and now just go with the standard meals - they are superior to what you will get on US Carriers. There is plenty of opportunity to get refreshments, either from a stewardess/steward or by just walking to the galley and asking for something. With two isles there are a few people who like to walk around & stretch their legs.

I am cheap so I normally fly economy and I don't notice the seats being that much smaller than I find on Alaska Airlines or Delta. Of course I have discovered that if I am distracted I don't think or notice too much. I load up my iPad with movies and watch them until I'm too tired to care. The way I look at it is "it's only 10 hours". :)

I highly recommend Condor Air.

PS My roundtrip airfare in May came to $1,120.
