I will be staying in Maiori, the beginning of the 2nd week in June, and would like to go to Capri (from Amalfi) for the day.
Should I book the ferry ahead of time online from Amalfi to Capri and from Capri and Amalfi? I would like to leave as early as possible in the morning, (but have to make sure I can get from Maiori to Amalfi in time to take the ferry in the morning). I would like to depart from Capri around 6:00. Do prices go up, as it gets closer to the date of taking the ferry?
Also, any suggestions about which ferry line, so far I found NLG and Positano Jet that fit into my timeframe.

Not 100% on the ferry schedules, but 6pm departure to Maori might not be possible. It probably leaves Capri a bit earlier as it’s final destination will be Salerno. I went in late May and had zero issues walking up and buying a ticket on the spot. Especially as you’re planning on leaving early, you’ll be fine. The general reaction I always received when enquiring about tickets for next day or even late in the day was one of puzzlement. They certainly fill up, but it didn’t seem like people were ever left on the dock. The different ferry companies aren’t a point of concern. They all do the same thing. Just pick one based on times when you’re there.

HI Thanks for your reply. I was planning on going to/from Amalfi to Capri , not Maiori. My understanding, there are no ferries that go from Maiori to Capril. They all leave from Amalfi, but if there is an option, please tell!
