Has anyone ever booked a room through http://www.5terre-marmar.com/ in Riomaggiore? They also run a hostel. We aren't interested in that. We would like to know how the service was? How the room was because they are scattered throught Riomaggiore? In general, what was your experience? Thank you!

Geoffrey, I've booked a room with Mar-Mar 5 Terre, and was very pleased with the room that was provided. It was somewhat "basic", but clean and very comfortable. It was on the main street just across from Bar Centrale, as I recall. One point to note is that the room rentals did NOT include breakfast, so you'd be "on your own" for breakfast. I didn't find that to be a problem - I ordered coffee and juice at Bar Centrale and food at Gelateria Centrale. I believe Mar-Mar is in the process of transitioning to a new website, Riomaggiore Reservations but you should be able to contact them on the other website. Two other points to note.... > I believe they only take cash. It's a good idea to settle the bill the day before you'll be leaving. > As I recall, guests MUST check-in prior to 17:00, as that's when their office closes. Happy travels!

We booked through them a few years ago and were pleased with the room. It was basic, clean and had a large balcony overlooking the harbor. We enjoyed our stay there.
