I have tried to book tickets using mv.vatican.va but it says transaction not complete?? I tried two credit cards and two browsers. Have other people had issues?

Matt, regular forum-poster Donna very recently offered this advice:
"For the Vatican, be sure your credit card has the "verified by visa" protocol or it will be declined. This has been an issue now for about a month. Call and ask for the fraud department. Have them institute the "verified by visa" protocol and let them know when and where you'll be traveling. Also, let them know you'll be making online reservations before your trip."
Give her advice a shot as it could be your problem?

For a trip to France and Italy in Oct, 2016 I tried to make advance reservations in a couple of places.
The charges were denied by my credit card because I had forgotten to notify the CC company.
I called them and verified my travel and then re-contacted the places I wanted the reservations and the charges went right through. I hope your problem is as simple as this.
