Do any of Rick’s books on Italy cover the Puglia area in depth?
Unfortunately no
Here are all the Italy guidebooks he offers
Thanks so much for the quick responses
Rough Guides has a mini Puglia guide book that would probably be worth checking out. https://www.amazon.com/Rough-Guide-Puglia-Travel-Guides/dp/1789193915 I love the Rough Guides. Plus if you buy the paperback, you get an e-book for free (there is a code in the back of the book that you can use to download the e-book).
Also, you might some info here from a post from last year about Puglia. https://community.ricksteves.com/travel-forum/italy/recommend-a-guide-book-for-puglia
Thank you. I’ll check it out,
We were in Puglia last fall and found the book "Lonely Planet Puglia & Basilicata" useful in describing the region and for planning our visit. It's about 15 years old but the towns haven't changed that much (the train times in the book are mostly wrong though). We also looked for blogs with stories from travel in Puglia, and watched YouTube videos such as walking tours.
