We will be arriving in Bolzano June 1st for 4 days then going to Castelrotto for 4more days ( first time in the Dolomites). We hope to do some moderate hiking up in the surrounding mountains and was wondering if there will be lots of snow or not. We are trying to figure out if we need to bring hiking boots or can get away with just regular (low) hiking shoes.
Also if anyone has any special spots in the area they care to share we would appreciate it.
