Thinking of one day in Bologne while traveling from Florence to Venice. Suggestions if this is worth it, food, sights, etc?
Thought you meant Boulogne then I realised you meant Bologna. 😎

Bologna is uniquely picturesque, with its curbed archways over the sidewalks, its siege towers, its tradition of fine cuisine, its regional side trips to see the manufacture of gourmet food ingredients and fast cars, and.... well, I could go on for three or four days, not just one. The city tourism bureau can open your eyes to the possibilities: https://www.bolognawelcome.com/en
We are doing this in reverse — we will only get about 6 hours in Bologna, but that’s enough for a walk about the central city and to have a nice lunch, and light shopping for train snacks at the Mercato Centrale. The train station is easy walking distance and they have a luggage storage option (fee is in the 4-5€ per bag range, with some weight restrictions)
I enjoyed the walking tour of Bologna offered by the tourist office in 2015.
A day in Bologna is more than worth it.
