Not sure if I should have put this in the Germany forum or not.
What is a stopover that would make sense between Bologna and Berchtesgaden via rail? I did meetways and it said the halfway point is Trentino which seems like there is nothing there. Bolzano looks like the closest logical halfway point.
Does anyone have any town suggestions? Thanks
Trento (Trentino is the province where Trento is located) is a nice town, and has some interesting sights, but Bolzano has a bit more to do and see. Like Oetzi, the Ice Man at the Archeological Museum.
