Bologna restaurant recommendations

Hi all

We have 2 days in Bologna this month and are very eager to try some Bolognese specialties, particularly tagliatelle al ragu, tortellini in brodo, lasagna bolognese and tortelloni. I know that there are lots of restaurants that would serve these classics, but I'm looking to you for your tried and true favorites. We won't have a car and are looking to stay pretty central.

The food is the main reason we are going to Bologna so I want to get this right!

Thank you!! 13 days to go!

Book a table at da Cesari for sure! We dined there two times.

Both Osteria La Traviata and Ristorante Alice da Oscar. We’ve gone to each every time we’ve been in Bologna. Another new favorite from last trip is Drogheria della Rosa. That’s 3 places, and you don’t have time for all of them, but they’re all outstanding, family-run places. Lunch at Tamburini, an iconic vintage deli and wine bar. Special gelato at La Sorbetteria di Castiglione.
