My husband and I will be arriving in Bologna by train and spending a few days in Bologna. We would like to pick up a rental car to continue our travels. Is it easier to pick up the car rental at the railroad station or the airport?

The train station is at the north end of town but the airport is out of town a few miles. We picked up at europcar which is a few blocks south of the station. Definitely better at the station if you are staying in the city. It's easy to get on the freeway from there.

We picked up our car close to the train station also. Very easy to head out of town.

This March, we renteda car from Europcar just inside the ring road, about 3 blocks from the train station. The rental went very smoothly and there were no extra fees. It was also easy to get onto the road out of town. We were able to drop the car at another location with no drop fee.

Thank you all, I was trying to figure out how far Europcar was from the train station , it sounds like it is very walkable.
