Bologna or Modena

Hello

We will be visiting Modena for a day and seeing a show in the evening.

We will be in Bologna for 4 days.

We are trying to plan some activities.
We would like to have a cooking class, a visit to parmagiano factory and the Ferrari museaum.

Where would you suggest we plan these activities?

And should we include something else? I know many of the activities take place in both Bologna and Modena

Thank you

Museo Enzo Ferrari is in Modena, and Museo Ferrari and the panoramic factory tour are in Maranello - nearer to Modena.

But your Modena itinerary appears set, the cities are a short train ride from each other, and you're staying longer in Bologna. So, why not plan to do these activities while in Bologna?

Parmigiano Reggiano factory (and more)

Note: On the Bologna Food & Wine Tour #1, we were taken by minibus to factories outside Bologna and an acetaia near Modena. It's well-organized, informative, and a lot of fun.

And if you need any inspiration to send you to Ferrari, check out the "Acquired" podcast on Audible about the history of Ferrari. Fascinating.

My modena itinerary is done? We have only booked a show at 7:30 p.m.
Thank you so much for info.
In your opinion which of the two Ferrari museums should we visit.
And which is the best way to get to Marenello? We could leave early from Bologna to Modena and try to go straight to the factory. or leave from Bologna.
We have seen many choices for pasta making. Just trying to choose one, where they make more than once type of pasta, since I already make pasta at home.

Thank you

This quote gave me the impression your itinerary for Modena was set. :)

I'm confident you'll find answers to your additional questions about the Ferrari Museums, if you:

  • use the forum and museum links I provided; and/or
  • choose your own terms to search this forum.

Good luck!

Are exposed different cars, so there isn't a better one. The one in Maranello is a little bigger and you can add the Factory tour.

To go to Maranello there are public buses (but a timetable intended for students and workers): lines 800-815-820
or the Ferrari shuttle: https://www.vivaraviaggi.it/happy_circle.php?happy_circle=6

No direct connections from Bologna, so you'll need a private transfer by taxi or car-with-driver.

My suggestion is to Portici Academy, a private lesson. They are professional chefs, so can teach you more than an amateur.
