At the end of this month my husband and I are flying out of Bologna and having driven by it numerous times we will finally have a chance to spend a bit of time here. We are trying to decide if we should spend 1 night (giving us 1/2 day to see main sights) or 2 nights (giving us 1 1/2 days). Any thoughts?

Most people posting here seem to give it a day. But you have to consider that on this board we get a lot of first timers to Italy who are moving pretty fast to see as much as they can.
