Can anyone recommend a hotel or B&B (preferably under $200-$250) in Bologna? I would like to find someplace near historic/tourist area and sidewalk cafes.

We were flying out of Bologna so my husband and I spent a day and a night in here in Sept. 2010. We stayed at Albergo Drapperie and it was in a great location and very close to Piazza Maggiore and the two towers. Room was small but very nice. Would stay here again. Got rid of our rental car at the airport and took a taxi here but there are buses too. Check it out at www.albergodrapperie.com

In Bologna I stayed in Albrego Centrale - it is in the center of town - easy to walk anywhere or catch the local buses. The price was $40 for a single - included breakfast. Very clean, quiet - lovely hotel.
I found it on the internet and in Lonely Planet Guide.
