Hello fellow travelers- We're heading to Bologna for the first time early June. Any hotel recommendations? Gracie! Erin

I have stayed at Hotel Drapperie and found it to be very pleasant, nice sized rooms & baths, clean, elevator, reasonably priced and located in a great little area with markets and close to historic sights. http://www.albergodrapperie.com/chisiamo_en.html You also need to check the schedule for conventions, as that can really affect access and costs of accommodations in Bologna. http://www.bolognafiere.it/en/calendario/cronologico_corrente
I had a very good stay at the Hotel Paradise http://www.hotelparadisebologna.com/ Enjoy!
Thank you both!
A couple of years ago I stayed at the Albrego Centrale about a block from the central square. It found it from a recommendation on this site. I also confirmed with my Lonely Planet book - here is a link.....

If it's in your budget, I had a lovely stay at the Commercianti. It's perfectly located, and the breakfast buffet is one of the most lavish I've seen anywhere (and particularly striking for Italy, where most places just give roll or cornetto and coffee). http://www.art-hotel-commercianti.it/index_en.html
As a public service, here's Frances's link made easier to use. Tiny URL is a great resource, but for some reason, even this version won't work as a hotlink on this Helpline: http://tinyurl.com/b4hfzwq
Thank you Harold .....YOU ROCK!!!! I post links all the time, but I could not get this one to work, so I appreciate your post.
Frances
We stayed here: http://www.hoteltouring.it/en Very nice - took the upgrade to the top floor suite and it was well worth it (we had a triple reserved)
Thanks for the tips! I will check them all out!
