I see that there's a shuttle from the Bologna airport to the center of town for 6E but I can't find any other info about it. How often does it run? Where does it drop you off?
Here is the airport bus site. http://www.atc.bo.it/orari/aerobus-airport-railway-station-link We have used the bus and although we had to stand, it was fine. However, on our last two visits we have used taxis. We thought the fare of 15 euro (against 6 euro pp for the bus) for the two of us to the city centre good value.
We took the airport shuttle last year - the bus was waiting just outside the terminal. It was a 20-30 minute ride into the city center. The bus dropped us off not far from the Piazza Maggiore. We were staying at Albergo delle Drapperie and it was a short walk from the bus stop to the hotel. Your hotel might be able to offer more specific information. Enjoy Bologna! Here's some info from the EasyJet website: To Bologna City Center By bus: "Aerobus runs every 20 mins from 5.40am to 11.20pm from the terminal exit; journey time 20 mins, depending on traffic; cost €5 - buy tickets on the bus or from the machine at the bus stop. Always punch your ticket in the machines provided."
Thanks ladies. Very helpful.
Hi Carol: I was in Bologna in May of this year; and had planned to get the shuttle to my hotel. However, I couldn't seem to find the stop or the shuttle bus outside the airport, (could have been jetlag!); so I just got a cab, and it was E15 plus a small tip. Well worth it.
Have a great time in Bologna!
