In case you haven’t heard, a few weeks ago they inaugurated the new people Mover aka “Marconi Express” (the Bologna airport is named after Guglielmo Marconi, the famed inventor of the radio, a native of Bologna) from the airport to the Central station, 5 km away.
The Marconi Express Mover can take up to 50 passengers at the time from the airport to the Bologna Centrale station (and back) in approximately 7 minutes for the cost of €8.50.
This service makes the Bologna airport more convenient to reach also Florence, which is only 35 min away from Bologna Centrale via Freccia train.
On related news American Airlines will start a non stop flight from Philadelphia (PHL) to Bologna in June 2019.
