Planning my first trip to Bologna in January for 4 nights. Would love any suggestions you may have on accommodations. I can search the plethora of websites... I have found first hand recommendations proven to be great choices 😉 Tx
We stayed in one of the apartments associated with B&B Bologna nel Cuore last fall for six nights. The apartment was spacious, beautifully decorated in a modern style and thoughtfully equipped. The location is very central, and the proprietor very friendly. Highly rated on TripAdvisor, so I expect it books up quickly.
Thanks Mary Sue
The apartments and rooms look terrific -location is perfect too

A few years ago I stayed in Albrego Centrale in the very center of town - just around the corner from the main square and fountain. I had a huge room for myself and they served a very nice breakfast each day. You can go look for hotels for Bologna on Tripadvisor - see photos, maps, rates, availability etc.
I love Bologna and really enjoyed my 3 days there.
Michele,
Have a look at Hotel Paradise or Hotel Holiday. Both are in a central location and easy walk to most of the sights. There's also a great restaurant about a two minute walk from the hotels.
I have stayed at Hotel Metropolitan twice. It's down a little side street very close to the center, Statue of Neptune, etc. The rooms are great. There are lots of dining options and it's a 10 - 15 minute walk from Bologna Centrale.
Thanks for the ALL terrific suggestions - it's very rainy in Vancouver today - a good time to plan for a great visit to Italy
