Does anyone out there happen to have a 2 day Bologna itinerary they can share?
I can suggest taking a food tour, takes most of the day. We took one in Parma and loved it.

These are just some examples, search on google for more.
Or just wander around Bologna itself....
Climb one of the towers for a great view of the city. Tour San Petrino church (great chapels and a meridian line in the floor), see Neptunes fountain (same piazza as San Petrino) , if there on the second Saturday and sunday of the month there is an Antique market and EAT. Bologna has wonderful food! If you need restaurant or hotel recommendations, let me know.
GREAT! Thank you for the very quick responses.
We will be there for 2 days. I have a food tour booked while we are in Modena actually.
Is Bologna easily self guided in regards to tours or do you reco taking an actual tour?
I have all of the places you mentioned on my list!
Have not been to Modena, but can tell you that the food in Parma and Bologna are very different. And very different from Tuscan food. So even if not going on a food tour, just go out and eat the local food!
Just another reason to love Italy, amazing food!!!
I plan on fully enjoy all the local food! We are pretty much using our honeymoon as an excuse to eat our way thru Italy! Thank you again!
Congratulations, and be sure to take home some balsamic vinegar, the real, aged, stuff!
We have a res at San Domenico for dinner....any hidden gems we should eat at?
La Colombina, hidden away on a side street near the Duomo. The best panna cotta I have ever had.
