BofA debit card, BNL D'Italia Pin number?

Hello,
I understand that BNL D'Italia is a Global partner with Bank of America so there are no transaction fees for ATMs except for currency exchange. I received conflicting information from my local branch of BodA versus the customer representatives in the international department. One tells me that we should male our ATM pin numbers to four digits in Italy (Europe), the other rep said we should change make them six digit. when I traveled to Spain, four digits work best at any ATM. What do people recommend?

Thank you

Four digits. Note that the exchage fee is a whopping ripoff of 3%. I bank with BOA, because they bought my previous bank, but I opened a credit union account for foreign travel.

I use my Chase Debit Card at BNL Bancomat ATMs. So far BNL is the only Bancomat ATM that accepts my Chase Debit card. And I use my 4 - digit code with no problem. When the ATM prompts for the code, it accepts it Ok.
