Boboli Gardens - Advance ticket?

Will be in Florence a few days post Easter 2024. RS article seems to indicate advance tickets not necessary for boboli? However. I'm a tad paranoid that this may be a popular week. Any thoughts about winging Boboli? Also, how much time to allocate?

We've booked Uffizi and Accademia in advance, but hoping to play some of this portion of trip by ear and wander a bit. Thanks in advance

Ciao~
In general I wouldn't think it was necessary but might be a good idea that time of year. The gardens are large so would give yourself an hour to walk around.

We visited the Boboli-went through the portal at Porta Romana-not busy at all. It is large. Unfortunately the grotto wasn’t available because of the work on the Corridoio Vasariano. It was September and the mosquitoes were vicious-plan ahead there! We walked a majority of it and it is nice, but we preferred the Giardino Bardini , both for views of Florence, serenity and accessibility. Both are certainly worth a visit.
