Hi
We are staying near Camogli next week and would love to do a boat tour to see the Cinque Terre (hiking there, I concluded, would be a bit difficult w a 4 year old).
The tours I've seen are take off from Cinque Terre. Is there anything anyone knows of that leaves from Camogli or Portofino? Thx!
The easiest solution would be to take the train to Monterosso, and travel by Ferry (weather permitting) to Porto Venere and back. The boats are larger with seating, and the cost will be lower than with a private boat tour. On the way back, you could disembark from the Ferry in Riomaggiore and ride through the towns by train on your way back to Camogli.
There are Cinque Terre tours leaving from Santa Margherita and from Camogli in morning and afternoon on different days of the week. Look here: http://www.apathtolunch.com/2014/07/portofino-ferry-boat-schedules-from.html
THAnks! Tho it looks like none from Camogli
Here is a good link on Ferry and CT hiking/walking pass.
We did a 1 day when we were staying in Levanto. Great deal.
We stayed in Portovenere and boated to all 5 towns. It is weather dependent, but I recommend trying as seeing the towns from the ocean is a wonderful way to see them. Alternatively, boat to Monterosso and then train to the rest and boat back from Riomagiorre.
Sorry meant to type tours from Rapallo and Santa Margherita.
