I am trying to plan transportation from Sorrento to Rome early in the morning. I would like to take an 8:15 fast train from Naples to Rome. I cannot find a schedule for the circumvesuviana train times or the boat schedule leaving Sorrento going to Naples. Does anyone know how early these boats leave Sorrento for Naples? Or the train for that matter? Rick says the boat is faster and safer so I would prefer that. I do not want to reserve a train from Naples to Rome and not be able to get there in time. However, we really want to get to Rome early. Any thoughts would be appreciated! Thanks!

We took the fast ferry from Naples to Sorrento and I highly recommend it. It's fun to be on the water and watch the shoreline. The ferry from Sorrento to Naples would be a great way to get there in good time, without transfers along the way.
