BNL D Italia ATM

Are there any BNL ATM's in Sorrento Italy ?

The point is BNL is a BAC partner and you save money on service charges if you use their ATM's

Ask BNL. Lots of ATMs and never worry about who owns the ATM. What is the point?

Wake up on the wrong side of the bed this morning Frank? You're usually so helpful. :) I'm sure Steve is asking because his home bank will not charge him a fee for using an ATM on the BNL network. I was only able to find one in Sorrento: VIA SAN FRANCESCO 5
80067, SORRENTO, (NA), CAMPANIA ATMs in Italy do not charge a fee but your home bank may charge a fee for using an ATM that is not on its network.

Sam's right. Steve is no doubt a Bank of America customer. BNL D'Italia is their partner bank in Italy. If he uses a BNL D'Italia ATM, the usual BofA fees will be waived.

You are too funny about the grumpy response. i was thinking the same. Hey did you ever find any? I am searching for Malpensa atms to save the $5.00 transaction fees...I can't find a website so far that has it in English. Grazie!

Steve and Monique - have you asked your bank if they offer any banking plans that waive the ATM fee? I used to have the basic checking plan at my bank and when I called my bank and asked if there was any way to avoid the ATM transaction fee they said, "Sure, just upgrade your banking plan" and they gave me the particulars on the new plan. The biggest change was maintaining a higher balance. The extra added bonus was a higher daily withdrawal limit. I switched plans and enjoyed transaction free ATM usage in Italy. As of last week, the exchange was paying about 1 euro to $1.33 US on those withdrawals.

Marianne That's good advice, but in this case probably too late. Monique leaves tomorrow and this is an old thread so Steve, who asked the question in May is likely to have found his answer.

Nothing in the thread indicated that Monique was leaving tomorrow, but my advice remains good advice for the next traveler who has this same question.
