We have booked a tour for St Marks Basilica at 8:45 am and were thinking of going to Blue Moon Beach afterwards. Is this something that can be done in one day? Is travel from the Basilica to Blue Moon easy for a family. Thank you

You’ll take the vaporetto from San Marco-San Zacccaria-which is right near San Marco
Then it looks like the beach is a good walk from the vaporetto stop
Sure it can be done in a day-I’d allow about an hour each way
Hopefully one of our Venice experts will be along to help with the route and which vaporetto line

Easy. I can't remember if we went to Blue Moon Beach, or one of the other private beaches on the Adriatic side of Lido, but its very easy to get there by vaporetto from San Marco, about a half hour. Then about a 15 minute walk to cross Lido from the lagoon side to the seaside.
