I accept Kindle books, but sometimes I can’t find things in them that are easily found in dead tree books. For example in the recently published Rick Steves’ Sicily, Kindle edition the map of Taormina has three blue bullseyes on it, one in the Piazza del Duomo and the other two in the public garden. For about a half hour I’ve been trying to determine what these mean. Does anyone know? (And also the “one level up“ question: how did you discover what it means?
In Italy the bulls-eye on signs means : City center this way.
Thank you, Dario, but I did not see the blue bull’s-eye in an Italian city, I saw it on a map in a book published by Rick Steves. It is difficult for me to believe that Taormina has three centers, and two of them are in the public garden.
The symbol used to indicate public Wi-Fi might look a lot like a bull's-eye if you only glanced at it.
