I love the outdoors and am excited to explore the Tuscany area in June this year. What can I expect to see? Is there a good field guide that anyone can suggest for birding or butterflies, etc..? Any hot spots or tips?

My father is a dedicated birdwatcher and during our trip to Switzerland he wanted to spend a day birding. We used birdingpal.org to find a local resident and fellow bird enthusiast to give him some suggestions on where to go. (Further proof that there really is a website for everything).
