Binoculars in the Borghese Gallery

Does anyone know if the Borghese Gallery allows binoculars inside? I know they are very strict about bags and cameras.

I believe they have checkrooms and lockers available if you have binoculars by reason of another stop that day. Since the number of people admitted to each "session" is limited, once the group has dispersed, you will be able to make your way to within 3' of any sculpture or painting in a minute or less. AFAIR, the ceiling frescoes are not nearly as important as the paintings and sculpture, and in any case, the ceilings aren't remotely as high as the the Banqueting House in Whitehall or the Sistine Chapel, to pick two examples. I found the two hours barely enough to see the sculptures and the works hung on the walls. If you are a particular scholar of ceiling frescoes, I apologize for replying.

Like Tim, I don't think they'd be useful, even if they are allowed.

I've been to the Galleria Borghese many times, you won't need binoculars.

You won't need them. The ceilings are not that high and you can get close to the artwork. Leave them with baggage check.
