BinaxNow for Outbound flight?

Hello,

Has anybody successfully used the BinaxNow proxied (online) antigen test for outbound flights to Italy? I'm flying American Airlines. I've seen that it's accepted for return flights to the US but can't find anything about whether airlines are accepting it for outbound flights.

Additionally - I'm curious, is it just the airlines enforcing the negative covid test or is it also being checked in country when you land?

The proctored test was accepted by American Airlines at the airport I flew out of in the US. It was never checked in Italy so I can't say for sure I they'd accept it if checked.
