My husband and I are planning to visit Lucca in September, and we will have our (then) 12 month old baby with us. We would love to bike the ramparts, but don't know if it is possible to rent a little bike trailer for the baby. Has anyone ever noticed them being available? Otherwise, how long does it take to walk (we would have a stroller)?

Don't know about the stroller, but the ramparts are about 2 1/2 to 3 miles around. Keep in mind, you can come down from them at many points. There are ramps that lead up to them.
