Hi! I'll be in Puglia in early/mid October 2023 and wondered if anyone has done a self-guided biking tour of the area? I'm trying to map out 7ish days and would love any feedback. I'll be taking trains and buses and prefer staying in beach towns but want to catch some sights and scenery. Thanks!
Are you taking your own bike?
Bike tours are common in the area, so you might peruse some of those for ideas. I have rented bikes and ridden on the aqueduct path, but I am not much of a road biker. There is a person on the Fodor's Forum who knows about biking in the area (hope that is okay to recommend--it is in the interest of helping!)
If you are up for it, there are quite the coastal roads south of Otranto. The Itria Valley would be more my speed--slowly ambling through farmland. good luck!
We did a bike trip in Puglia, loved it ! Our self guided bike trip was booked through www.Nicholsexpeditions.com

Judy Nichols can also customize your trip. Your luggage is transported for you to the next location and you just get up in the morning and after breakfast --go ride..
They are based in Moab, UT. We've used them for 7-8 hiking or biking trips.
This would be a multi-day trip, but you can ask about something shorter, hard to tell from your question just what you are looking for. When we go to italy, it usually involves a self guided bike trip or hiking trip, then we spend more time in country using trains to get around.
